Bojangles and his motley cast of absolute scrublords (who even is Isaiah Whitehead? I mentioned him in a previous description but nobody gave me any help) were fairly clutch at the end of this game against the Celtics. Obviously I didn’t watch it because I can’t watch every game, but here’s the scoop: the Nets were down 23 points in the fourth. 23! And then the Nets’ bench of scrubs totally overwhelmed the Celtics’ bench of scrubs with their hustle and tenacity and scrubbiness. Bojangles in all his balding glory was a major component of their comeback thanks to some well-timed shots that had the Celtics crowd groaning and throwing their hands up in disgust.
The Nets ended up losing. They probably are going to lose a lot of games this season. But if they can play with hustle, tenacity, and scrubbiness (HTS for short), then they might be able to make some games close. Or, they can play with HTS, but when they get thoroughly out-talented by pretty much every team in the league, they’ll fail to mount any sort of comeback, ever, and just lose by thirty every night. Maybe this will be the most positive thing to happen to them this season.
It would be cool if Bojangles could average twenty while all this is going on. That’s really what the Croatian fans deserve.
