I was like a kid in a candy store watching the last quarter of tonight’s Nuggets-Warriors game. Scrub central! Not even scrubs really for the Nuggets, just a whole bunch of young players and the remarkably-still-alive-looking Mike Miller. Oh yeah, and the Warriors kept Durant in for way too long, and that scrub didn’t even get 20 to continue his streak.
This video is a good taste of the gnarly lineups that the Nuggets were trotting out in this blowout loss. You get a bunch of Jamal Murray, of course, but you also get a small taste of all the people he dimed. Check this list out: Emmanuel Mudiay, Malik Beasley (twice), Mike Miller, Juan Hernangomez, Jarnell Stokes. The fact that Murray wrung 6 assists out of that scrubtastic assembly of barely-players is nothing short of amazing. By my rough calculations, that’s like 13 assists to real players. Combine that with a career-high 14 points including a dunk, and you get the best game yet for not-Dejounte.
