Another game, another insane amount of shots taken by Devin Booker. Granted, excessive shooting seems to be a trend in the NBA (just a matter of time before Westbrook’s 50-shot game), so I can’t be too hard on him. He’s just watching what the superstars of the league are doing and emulating them. With not bad results. Not really good results either, though (like this 30 points on 27 shots).
Efficiency questions aside, his playing style certainly makes for entertaining highlights. Even though he’s still a baby in the eyes of the NBA, Booker can really do it all, offensively. His ability to get his shot off is fun to watch, even if a good portion of the time he bricks it. That doesn’t mean it wasn’t fun. He’s like Brandon Jennings in that regard, Jennings combined with Klay Thompson and a dash of Monta Ellis…
Okay, maybe not the best comparison ever. So sue me. And, now that I think about it, I already a saw a combo of Jennings and Ellis on the Bucks, and it made me want to gouge my eyes out.
