My memory of last season is already pretty hazy, so I can’t remember if I had a reason for not making a Marco Belinelli three-ilation. Did I not realize how thoroughly entertaining such an -ilation would be? Or was I just too lazy to make it? Maybe I didn’t like how he would suddenly switch teams from the Hawks to the Sixers two-thirds of the way through the video. I don’t know, and I will never know.
The long and short of it is, I didn’t make a video chronicling all 149 of Belinelli’s three-pointers last season, but that doesn’t mean I can’t make one for this season. The Spurs are just over halfway through the season – 43 games played- and Belinelli has hit eighty three-pointers. He’s roughly on pace to meet or exceed last season’s three-point total, which, for him, was a career-high in makes for a season. So I still have a chance to make up for the misdeeds I have previously committed.
Unfortunately, Belinellis’ midrange game has tapered way off despite playing in a Spurs system that seems to prefer midrange shots, so a Marco Belinelli midrange-ilation is unlikely for this season. Sorry everybody. I’ve let you all down.
