Maurice Harkless is not really the kind of guy you want hanging around the perimeter. I read somewhere that he’s shooting like 25% or something on jumpers this year.
But, then again, what are you supposed to do when confronted with a wide open jump shot? Not shoot it? Because that’s stupid. There’s no guarantee that your team will get a better look. You have to shoot it.
So he did, and guess what, he scored 23 points for his efforts. Including 2 corner threes. Which is the only area on the court, other than right at the rim, where he can actually score. He’s got nice form on his shot, though, so just give him another year and he’ll be pretty good I bet.
