I hate feeling this way. I really do. But inverity and concealment are not part of DownToBuck’s game. I must be totally honest with myself, and with you, the loyal viewership.
I might actually like the Lakers this year.
I know, I know. It’s horrible. But if they keep playing the way they did last night, even if they don’t always win, they will be fun to watch. At least until Kobe comes back and ruins everything. And, now that I think of it, watching the Lakers would mean watching Wes Johnson. Ugh. Consider my enthusiasm tempered.
But my enthusiasm remains ever bright for Jordan Farmar. Last year he disappeared into the basketball abyss known as “Europe”, from which few ever return. I admit that I despaired for him. The fact that he’s here at all is a testament to his indomitable will and unquenchable desire to ball hard.
And ball hard he did, scoring 16 points and dishing 6 dimes, mainly in the second half where the Clippers totally fell apart against the Lakers’ horrible bench while Doc Rivers made funny faces. Screw the Clippers and their floppy ways. We all know who the real kings of LA are.
