On the surface these appear as normal Austin Rivers highlights. He makes some shots, he gathers some assists. But if you watch closer you may notice an underlying ulterior motive, beyond merely showing Austin Rivers doing good things on a basketball court.

That’s correct. I made these highlights not to showcase Austin Rivers, but to showcase Melvin Ely. Notice how I linger on the shot of him running up the court longer than the usual for an assist. Thanks to my efforts, there is now video evidence of Ely having played in the league and even scored a field goal. In hundreds of years, when historians are wondering about the enigmatic “Melvin Ely” who sired a line that ended up producing the 5th intragalactic conqueror, Mentrovior Ely, they will happen upon this video and understand the origin of Mentrovior’s tortured and corrupt mind.
Those origins being that apparently Melvin can’t dunk anymore.
