It’s hard to tell if Brandon Knight is a good player or not. His stats look pretty damn good by themselves. Take this performance, after which he is leading the league in assists per game. Ask any Bucks fan, though, and you’ll end up with a tearful recollection of how the Bucks went to the ECF with Ray Allen and Big Dog, interspersed with words like “Chucker”, “Brandon Knight”, and “Hate”.
And when you watch the Bucks you kind of see what they mean. He is quick to text his own number and while he gets assists, he doesn’t have good court vision. There is a reason the Pistons tried to turn him into a shooting guard.
On the bright side (which, as it is still involving the Bucks, is just a dark gray splotch amidst a sea of black), Brandon Knight is most decidedly NOT Brandon Jennings. Hooray!
