Dënniß ßchrööder is one of the keys to the Hawks winning this series after they tied it at 2-2. That’s my hot take, and trust me, it is HOT. With John Wall out with a smashed hand, Sessions is the starter. That leaves ßchrööder matched up on either Garrett Temple or Will Bynum most of the time. Now, I’m sure those guys are great dudes in person, but here’s the simple truth:
Garrett Temple is too tall. Will Bynum is too short. Meanwhile, ßchrööder is the perfect height for a point guard, a pure Germanic representation of the position. Bynum and Temple are the Untermenschen. ßchrööder is the Übermensch. Plus, he is just way better at basketball than either of them, even if you ignore the height factor.
If the Schredder can abuse these matchups when he gets the chance, the Hawks should be able to take the series. If he fails to step up and the Hawks lose, well, there’s always a summer of schnitzel and lager to look forward to.
