Kent Bazemore has impressed me this season by, you know, actually kind of playing good sorta. Why pay DeMarre Carroll big bucks to be a roleplayer when you can have similar-ish production for a fraction of the cost?
Obviously, his improved play is a result of the Hawks system, but that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t deserve some credit. He still has to hit the shots. If you put me in that system, I for sure would play like garbage. NBA-threes are deceptively long, man.
While the Bazed God might be better than DTB at playing in the Hawks’ system, there are still many things I am better at than he is. Like highlight making. Has he ever made highlights of me making highlights of him? I thought not. “DownToBuck 1 Kent Bazemore Highlight Made Full Highlights” would be must-see TV, were it to be created.
