I’m looking at the Nuggets roster right now, at the first thought that comes to mind is “who in the heck is going to score the ball for this team?” Danilo Gallinari is the number one option, which is already iffy, and after that, things get really weird. Randy Foye? Jameer Nelson? We all know Faried can only score when set up, and Wilson Chandler is out for the year.
These is the same thoughts I had regarding the second half of last year’s Nuggets team, and coincidentally the answer is the same: Willie Barton.
Repeat after me: “I am hyped for Willie Barton”. He’s not the most elegant of all scorers, and his jumper has a tendency to switch completely off at times, but he can get buckets when he needs to.
I thought about making this vid a combined highlight with Barton’s doppelganger Corey Brewer, but it turns out Corey didn’t actually score. That’s too bad, because a “Will Barton and Corey Brewer Intense Strung-out Crackhead Duel! 26 Points Combined!” video would have been a lot of fun.
