Is it just me (when I start a description like that you know it isn’t), or does Zach LaVine have consistently the lamest assists ever? Maybe one in ten highlight videos he has an assist that is actually highlight-worthy; the rest are simple perimeter passes or things that shouldn’t even be counted as assists.
Unfortunately for fans of concise videos, Zach had six assists, just above the threshold for me showing them. No one watches LaVine videos to watch him make lame passes. They want dunks, they want three-pointers, they want swaggy jumpers. They want all the stuff that they saw in those HoopMixTape videos.
I’m not feeling very apologetic tonight. Jon Leuer having a good game while not with the Bucks has got me all riled up. Deal with the assists, or make your own damn NBA highlights channel.
