After this impressive display by Nikola Jokic, I feel comfortable revealing my new nickname for him: “Magic Jokson”. I did a soft release of the nickname about a month ago; it is time for a full roll-out.
For it to really work you have to pronounce the Jokson part like “Jock-sun”, not “Yoke-sun”. Other than that little idiosyncrasy, it’s the perfect moniker. It doesn’t even need to be explained. Once you hear it, you’re like “Oh yeah that makes perfect sense the guy who came up with it is a genius with big muscles.”
I’d also like to take this moment to apologize for not making Magic Jokson highlights when he had 9 assists. It was easy to miss his performance since he only had 4 points that game, but I offer no excuses.
