The Lakers/Kobe must really be messing D’Angelo Russell up. 8 assists is a pretty good amount, but would you believe that it’s his career high? As in, never before tonight had he racked up that many dimes in an NBA-sanction basketball contest. Even Emmanuel Mudiay got more than that in his first game, and that dude can barely dribble without turning it over.
Combine that fact with the fact that these assists are basically just D’Angelo passing to a hot Jordan Clarkson for three a bunch of times, and I’m still waiting for a really sweet passing performance from the 2nd overall pick.
However, the points he scored in this video are pretty good. I should have just left out the assists and kept only the buckets he himself was scoring. Would have made for a much more impressive and hard-hitting highlight package
