Ever since getting chosen to be in the three-point contest, and even before then, Khris Middleton has kind of been sucking it up from three. He’s still shooting above 40 percent, which is still an elite number, but 45% is just way better and way more elite. He ended up coming in last in the shootoff during All-Star weekend, which was disappointing, since the the NBA reached by even putting him there in the first place.
Khris is suffering a little bit right now as the only “guy who can shoot and also do other things well” on the Bucks’ roster. We have other shooters, but they all have horrible deficiencies in other areas (Steve Novak, I’m looking at you). We have players who do all the other things will, but can’t shoot (Giannis god damn I love you man but your jumper is borked six ways to Sunday). An open look for Khash Money Dimes is a rare occurrence, since teams know that he’s the only guy they have to pay attention to outside of 15 feet.
