When I was watching this game, I was confused about who was scoring the points that Sean Kilpatrick was scoring until they said his name. That’s because he no longer has that bleached mohawk thing on the top of his head. Now he has a normal haircut. I repeat: he no longer has the bleached mohawk thing. It’s just totally gone!
That shouldn’t be allowed. Hair is how I identify players who otherwise look exactly the same from a long distance. If Kilpatrick’s hair is generic black-guy hair, I have to either squint at the letters on his jersey or I have to wait for the commentators/PA dude to inform me about his identity. Or I have to track him with my eyes for the entire game (including when he’s on the bench) just so I don’t forget which one he is.
My proposed solution is to have each player wear a different color jersey. That way, I can’t get confused anymore. Sean Kilpatrick calls dibs on green because he’s Irish. Sometimes I wonder why the NBA doesn’t just pay me for these great ideas I have.
