I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but the official NBA YouTube channel has stepped up its game this season. More player performance highlights à la DawkIns, some full game highlights à la Ximo Pierto, even a single-day dunkilation à la nobody, because that’s never been done before. They’re still lacking in scrublights à la DownToBuck, but that’s by design. They know what happens to channels who infringe on my turf.
Anyway, yeah, they’re doing some good stuff this year. What I’m getting at is, they’re definitely now in position to make a Vince Carter career dunkilation (that’s dunk compilation for you plebs out there, as in EVERY SINGLE DUNK of his career all mashed up into one vid). As I’ve said before, I’m not in a position to make such a video. Piotr Zarychta did one for last year only, which was cool, but also kind of sad. Early-career Vinsanity was the greatest dunker of all time, now, he’s just an okay slam-jammer.
What better way to pay tribute to the NBA’s oldest player than what probably would be a multi-hour video uploaded tomorrow morning showing 17 years worth of power pumps? God damn. If I don’t wake up tomorrow and find such a video waiting for me, dammit, something’s going to happen. A bad something. This is your warning, NBA.
