Given how unnecessarily excited the Raptors commentators were getting for Cory Joseph’s middling offensive performance, I figured that Joseph had been underperforming for the first bit of the season and that the commentators were just happy to see any signs of life out of him. So I checked it out.
I honestly don’t know what I expected when I opened up Cory Joseph’s game log. What I found was a consistent 20 MPG with very low field goal totals and generally disappointing scoring totals. He also doesn’t get many assists. So what does he do when he’s on the court? Just dribble and make go-nowhere passes? Is somebody else doing the playmaking for the second unit? It would theoretically be possible for me to know the answers to these questions, but that would involve watching Raptors games on a regular basis, and I can’t do that because I hate DeMar DeRozan.
