Here’s the real reason I do tons of highlight of Turkish NBA players: I’m grateful for when they gave Allen Iverson a chance to play professionally again, even if he only lasted 10 games over there. That was a good move, and to repay them, I’m saturating the Internetubes with Enes Kanter highlights.
It’s so important to me that I even have a clock on the wall that’s labeled “Turkey Time” and it shows what time it is in Istanbul (not Constantinople). It also has the benefit of only needing a couple hours subtracted to get “Serbia Time”, which is also very important. So I know that right at this very moment, all those Turks are waking up, stretching their arms, and hopping on their YouTube-viewing device to catch up on the latest Turks-in-the-NBA action.
Sad news on that front: Omer Asik was a healthy DNP tonight.
Better news: Enes Kanter scored 20, which he does all the time now.
