Denzel Valentine 19 Points Full Highlights (1/10/2017)

Well, this was unexpected.

Denzel Valentine has not been good at basketballing so far this year. That’s an understatement, but I’m not going to tell you how much of an understatement it is. If you’re a Bulls fan, you already know, and you’re breathing the hugest sigh of relief ever right now. If you’re not a Bulls fan, all you know is that he won a bunch of NCAA awards, but you haven’t heard a single thing about this dude since he got drafted.

Bulls fans will know that this single performance doesn’t mark the end of the road for Valentine on his way back to respectability. Other NBA onlookers run the risk of letting this performance shape their entire view of him, and I say, why not? Why not judge players solely on their most productive games? I’m the one enabling this behavior by only showing players at their best.

Valentine had an 8 point game earlier in the season, the highest among a steady diet of 3s and 0s and 2s. That fact makes his 19 points tonight the equivalent of Corey Brewer scoring 120, by my estimation. You would definitely come up away super impressed with a such a performance, so there is no reason you shouldn’t be as impressed by this one.
