An enterprising soul should start an YouTube channel called “NBA Fight Zone” or “Heaviest NBA Slamdowns” or something, and show nothing but all the “fights” that occur in the NBA. The NBA used to be really stingy about allowing vids of famous altercations to be disseminated (I’m still recovering from that virus I got trying to locate a video of that Keyon Dooling-Ray Allen altercation), but I think they’ve relaxed a little bit. There are tons of people who want to go back to the 80’s NBA where men were men and fights were fights. Any minor scuffle is guaranteed tons of views if presented in glorious 720p.
I say that because I’m not showing the bitchslap that Jae Crowder received from John Wall after the game was over. I have principles. It is not my place to show bitchslaps or the nose-touching fingerpoints that lead to them. It is my place to show highlights, and getting slapped is under no circumstances a “highlight”. If an altercation happens in the course of play, maybe leading to a flagrant foul, I’ll show it. Otherwise, no.
