The best part about watching the Timberwolves isn’t KAT’s emergence into a stud, or Wiggins’ emergence into a stud, or Lavine’s emergence into a stud, or Dunn’s emergence into a… something. No, the best part about watching the Timberwolves this season is that sometimes the commentators’ mics pick up Tom Thibodeau raspily yelling at his team from across the court. One notable instance this game is him yelling “TAKE IT AT HIM!” right before Shabazz Muhammad drains a long two-pointer.
Man, imagine what it’s like when he’s trying to coach you up. It must be the most intense thing ever. Every practice, every timeout, just constant yelling right in your face, screaming about what you need to do and what you need to not do. I can kind of get why he wore out his welcome in Chicago. I give him 2 more years in Minnesota before the Timberwolves core gets so good that the FO foolishly decides they don’t need him anymore.
