Somehow the Heat are on a 6-game winning streak, and I have no idea why, so I’m just going to ignore Dion Waiters for now and give Willie Reed all the credit. Okay? Sounds good to me.
The Heat’s recent resurgence is certainly an impressive feat given the slapdash nature of their roster. Willie Reed has lead the charge for his reinvigorated team, setting the tone both on offense and defense. Reed offers a great pick-and-roll target for the Miami Guards, who would be totally garbage if he weren’t there to corral all their errant passes and grab all their missed shots. His most shining moment during this Heat run, however, was the game-winning three-pointer he canned right in the face of Klay Thompson. An unexpected surprise from the league’s latest clutch-time hero!
Reed’s 20 points tonight against a totally composed and not imploding at all Bulls team proved that he is the solid foundation of all that the Heat are accomplishing.
