Seth Curry is starting to become the player I thought he could be after leaving Sacramento. He’s been a reasonably consistent double-digit scorer for a while now, and his assist totals the last few games have trended upward. This increase in the quality of play roughly coincides with an increase in the quality of play of the Mavericks as a whole. Suspicious, huh? Now is not the time rehash my NBA-related conspiracy theory “having good players increases the chances of having a good team”. Maybe in the future.
Seth’s brother, that dude who’s married to Ayesha Curry, can’t really remember his name right now, outshone him tonight, but that’s probably good for Seth. His brother returning to MVP-form means only more residual spotlight for Seth, who isn’t quite good enough yet to earn any on his own merits. Again, maybe in the future. The NBA’s love for three-point bombers won’t disappear soon.
