Man, this video loses a lot of steam after Devin Booker gets done scoring those 27 points in the 2nd quarter. A LOT of steam. It pretty much stops dead in its tracks. Only 4 free throws, after that insane shooting display? Kind of disappointing, but the meat of the video is still there, and that can never be taken away.
I’m sure everyone around the NBA was getting hyped, hyped for the first 40-point game of Booker’s career. I know I was. Probably a bunch of those people tuned in to League Pass (or, more likely, some janky-ass web stream covered with popup ads) just to see what The Booker Report had in store for the second half. Even if it wasn’t a great as his 7 minutes and 14 seconds of destruction, he was sure to put up a 40-burger, right?
Nope. As I said, kind of disappointing, but no one will remember his final point total anyway. So it’s okay.
