Somehow Otto Porter is leading the league in three-point percentage. If he holds on to the lead, it will mark the first time since the 2008-09 season (why doesn’t Anthony Morrow get minutes WHY WHY WHY) that a melanin-ed individual achieves that honor. Just a curiosity I noticed. The usual white suspects are either having a slightly off season (Korver, Redick) or are dead (Bonner, Novak) or should never have led the league in that category in the first place (Calderon, Hoiberg). You’d better not mess this up, Jinglin’ Joe.
Is that what Wizards fans expected from Ottomatic this season? That he would be the best long-range gunner in the whole NBA? I somehow doubt it. John Wall’s affect on the three-point shooting of his small forwards is well known, but there’s no way anybody expected Porter’s improvement to be this pronounced.
I’m talking about Porter instead of the game because I bet Wizards fans don’t even want to think about what happened tonight. It’s okay. Just think about how Falcons fans are feeling and realize it could be a whole lot worse.
