I have a pile of scraps of paper on my desk on which I have written NBA predictions. All of them were written during the offseason so you know that none of them are biased by events that transpired after the season opener. Each one is dated with the date that I made the prediction for extra authenticity.
I’m telling you this because I just located my prediction scrap that says “Darren Collison will be the second-best player on the Kings.” That’s what the scrap says. I’m not lying. I actually wrote this down and now it’s come true, because Darren Collison is better than Rudy Gay, he’s better than Arron Afflalo, he’s better than Ben McLebust, and he’s better than Ty Lawson, but he’s not better than DeMarcus Cousins.
This fact has gone unnoticed by the NBA as a whole because Darren Collison just never gets any attention. Ever. Everybody’s like “blah blah Rudy Gay got injured blah blah” and “blah blah Arron Afflalo refused to enter the game because he was mad about his minutes blah blah” and “blah blah DeMarcus Cousins almost punched a reporter blah blah” and “blah blah Kevin Johnson is the worst human being ever blah blah” and lost in all the blah blahing is the fact that Darren Collison is a darn good point guard even if he doesn’t pass as much as you want. And he’s a horrible human being too but somehow not even that gets talked about even though the sports media loves to wring their hands about domestic abuse.
As soon as I figure out how the camera on my phone works I’m gonna take a picture of my prediction and post it on the internet. It’s funny, I’ve had this iPhone for two years now and I still can’t do anything with it other than order delivery from Pizza Hut and play that candy swapping game that my friend installed on it for me.
