Damn, if I’m a Pistons fan tonight, I’m pissed as heck. I thought the shots Michael Beasley was making were ridiculous. Imagine how it looked from the other side of the fence? It must have been rage inducing.
The shot selection that Beasley displayed tonight was very poor. These weren’t good shots. Granted, had he missed the first few, we wouldn’t have seen the rest of them, because Jason Kidd doesn’t have a ton of patience for shots like these. But they went in. Over and over. Jon Leuer was defending him pretty well, but it didn’t matter. At all.
Performances like these (and what he did with the Rockets last year) are what is going to convince some overthinking GM to give Beasley a big contract this offseason. I hope it’s not the Bucks, because it’s going to an overpay. Beasley is what he is, and if he’s in a good situation, he can play well. He’s played well with the Bucks, considering my expectations (which included the lion’s mane, DAMMIT). I’m thinking Thunder on this one. Imagine him next to Westbrook. Whoa.
