I have a proposal for the lame-os who do commentary for the Brooklyn Nets: whenever Spencer “Din-Dins” Dinwiddie does something cool or exciting, yell “IT’S DINNER TIME!” I can’t believe I have to come out and say this myself when it is such an obvious line to use. I swear. They can come up with stupid stuff like “Brook it” when Brook Lopez makes a three but they can say “It’s dinner time” or “Dinner is served” when Din-Dins makes one of his crazy circus shots.
Maybe it’s because Din-Dins hasn’t been doing anything of note up until the last few games. You always have to be wary of stats put up on a team as horrible as the Nets, but eight assists don’t just come out of nowhere. Somebody has to pass the ball and somebody has to shoot the ball. Both things have to happen for an assist to be credited. And last night, Din-Dins undoubtedly had eight such passes.
So, if the Nets commentators want to use my new phrase, they’re welcome to do so, but they also have to say “catchy catchphrase brought to you by DownToBuck check out YouTube dot com slash DownToBuck or DownToBuck dot net to find out more”. If they say my phrase without the proper attribution I will sue them and take away their draft picks for the next hundred bajillion years.
