Courtney Lee 25 Points Full Highlights (2/23/2017)

After last night’s game where Courtney Lee was undoubtedly the best player on the court for the Knicks, I might have to rethink my most recent hashtag creation, #CourtneyLeeDoesntDeserveAHashtag . Twenty-five points is sort of like the unofficial line between a player deserving a hashtag and a player not deserving a hashtag. My official position on the matter is that I will wait for Lee to have additional good games, and if he continues to outplay the likes of Kristass Porzingpiss, Jokeim Noass and Carmeloser Assthony, I will revisit the question of whether or not he deserves a hashtag.

Since Courtney Lee is definitely NOT the guy that you can just tell to shoot fifteen shots per game, it seems unlikely that he will build on the success of this one game. He’s just not a volume scorer, and any game where it looks like he could be a bigtime shot-maker is a mirage caused by him getting a larger-than-normal amount of his preferred looks at the basket. Besides, the chuckers on his team would stop inviting him to team functions if he ever got it into his head to shoot the ball more, even if he was a more efficient scorer than them, so we can just forget about it.
