Seth Curry has a midrange game. We knew it before, but it is being reaffirmed. Yes! That’s what I want. There aren’t enough guards with a sweet midrange game in the NBA right now. C.J. McCollum and… who else? Probably a few others, but the art of the 15-footer is fading from human knowledge. Stephen Curry (you know, this dude’s brother, duh) used to have such weaponry in his arsenal, but he has abandoned it in favor of shooting more threes and deferring to JaVale McGee. What a shame.
That’s why I’m pumped to see this performance by Seth. Not just because it’s a career-high. It’s not ALL midrange jumpers, because this isn’t a Jason Smith vid, but there are a bunch mixed in with some threes and drives. As the Dallas commentator said, it was CRAFTY. CRAFTY is what Seth is, because he doesn’t look that athletic and that’s the only way to explain these 31 points. Steph is CRAFTY also, but Seth has to be more CRAFTY because he’s wrinklier.
