I’m so tired of Delly. I liked the signing at the time, and maybe it can still work, but it’s seeming more and more likely that the only offensive system he can thrive in is the “Have LeBron On Your Team” system. Why he keeps getting minutes over Malcolm Brogdon is baffling to me. I guess Jason Kidd doesn’t want to admit it was a failure of an acquisition or something.
Brogdon isn’t a world-beater or anything, but he’s solid. So solid that if the Bucks make a concerted effort to give him more minutes and tell him to shoot all the time, he might be able to win the ROY award. This is only his second 20-point game; that number needs to go up. Fast. A happy side-affect of this stratagem is that it would mean no more Delly, so I don’t see why this plan should go into effect as soon as possible. The Bucks aren’t going anywhere except, hopefully, to the bottom of the standings, so they might as well try to get some hardware for one of their players.
