Add Tyler Ennis to the ever-growing “Players who the Bucks traded and then they became really good and the Bucks are stupid and I hate them” list. Put him right there between Jodie Meeks and Tobias Harris.
Ennis showed some stuff in Milwaukee towards the end of last season, but not enough for them not to trade him to the Rockets for Michael Beasley. I wasn’t too sad about it at the time, because Beasley, even with his reputation, was at that point the better player by far. The Rockets are the second joke of a team in this sad tale, sending him to the Lakers for Marcelo Huertas in the NBA’s first ever all-Hobbit trade.
Both the Rockets and the Bucks are now despairing as Ennis has proven himself to be a more than capable player in this league. 19 points and 6 assists is a statline only a competent player would put up, and those teams basically gave up on him without giving him a real shot. Shout out to the Lakers who believed in this kid. I wish my organization could be as classy as yours.
