Lance Stephenson vs. LeBron James part deux was kind of a disappointment. The actual game was good, but where was the blatant antagonization of LeBron by Lance Romance? I wasn’t expecting another ear-blow, but I was expecting the threat of imminent physical violence. If the NBA isn’t going to be another WWE, I might have to turn to the real thing to get my fix of roided-out monsters acting in a soap opera.
Stephenson, even though he didn’t smash LeBron through a folding table, had a good game otherwise. 16 points on 13 shots, and I don’t know if any of them were a “good” shot. The more things change, the more things stay the same, and Stephenson is the same dude as always. It’s refreshing, actually. Seeing him do other things on other teams just wasn’t for me.
