Okay. Ready. Behold, the new nickname for T.J. Leaf:
“Suspension of Disbeleaf”
Please hold your applause. Do not cheapen this moment with the adulation you wish to bestow upon me, however deserved it may be. Before I receive your praise, let me explain this new moniker which will henceforth be used in every DTB-made T.J. Leaf highlight package.
First, an explanation of the common phrase “suspension of disbelief”. That phrase represents a viewer/reader’s willingness to sacrifice logic and reality in the name of enjoyment of an artistic work. This phrase relates to Leaf in that you have to accept what your eyes are telling you, in this case, Leaf scoring 17 points, without caring that is a totally surreal occurrence. Everyone knows that Leaf should never ever be scoring 17 points in the NCAA, let alone in the NBA, because he’s white, but here it is, should you choose to believe.
