I never thought, when Justin Holiday came into the league, that I would ever be making highlights of him scoring a good amount of points as the first option (????maybe????) on a team. It’s really amazing. From mega scrub who only made a team because his brother was on it to out of the league to bench scrub on a contender to late-season stat-stuffer to major role-player on a bad team to insane chuckmaster on an even worse team. What a journey, and I’m so happy to have experienced with him every step of the way.
This is Holiday’s final form. 16 shots attempted in his first game, 18 the next, 17 tonight. No one else on the Bulls can take shots like he can, so he gets to do what he wants. He wasn’t successful at all in his first two cracks at it, but tonight was another story. 25 points, mostly on shots he wouldn’t be taking if Wade and Butler were still around. The way he’s letting it fly from deep is actually really inspiring to me. If only we could all be so confident in our actions.
