Larry Nance Jr. 18 Points Full Highlights (10/25/2017)

I think it’s funny that Larry Nance Jr. made exactly the same facial expression after hitting a long two-point stepback that he made after utterly posterizing his now-teammate Brook Lopez last year in what was probably (okay, definitely) the dunk of the year. All that was missing was the shrug.

It’s like he knows that the act of hitting a tough jumper is, for him, just as amazing as him elevating a foot above the rim to drop a nuclear warhead right on top of a seven-footer. And, you know, he’s not wrong. Nance Jr. doesn’t really possess a varied offensive skillset. He’s mostly a dunk and layup kinda guy (both things he did some of in this game). He’s definitely not a jumpshot guy, and he’s especially not a jumpshot guy when he has to create his own jumpshot rather than just executing a simple catch-and-shoot.

Given the relative amazingness of both acts, I’m probably going to include his twenty-foot jumper in this year’s end-of-season dunkilation. I really don’t see how anybody could complain about that.
