Brandon “Smooth and Chocolatey” Paul hasn’t really been on my proverbial radar screen so far. I knew he existed, but before tonight I had him combined with Derrick White as one super-rookie. No longer! Now he exists as a discrete entity in my neuronal sludge, nestled loosely and slightly askew between Brandon Jennings and Chris Paul.
First impression: his hair looks like one of those mazes you see in kid’s activity books.
Second impression: he can score the rock. I’m pretty sure my perception of him has been warped forever by this good performance. It’s not likely, but it’s possible, that he never tops this point total ever again. And here I am thinking it’s the norm for him. I’m like one of those ducklings who imprints on the first thing I see and it becomes my mommy. Except it’s Brandon Paul and buckets.
