The low amount of beefing going on in the NBA this year was starting to annoy me. Basketball by itself is all well and good, it’s fine or whatever, but when two opposing players start beefing it up, that’s when I really get excited. I can only enjoy the NBA without WWE-esque storylines for so long, you know.
So it’s good that today we have two new serious beef-outs. Andre Drummond vs. Joel Embiid is beef-out numero uno, that one happened earlier to today and it was as beefy as I expected. Beef-out numero dos was unexpected, but maybe even better: Lonzo Ball vs. Jamal Murray. I don’t know what started the beefage, but it escalated quickly, and all I know is that by the end of the game these two dudes were ready to kill each other. That’s how intense this beef got, and in such a short amount of time!
It looks like Murray came out ahead in this one, outbeefing Lonzo easily, with his team winning the game and with him accumulating the more impressive stats. I don’t know what a not-so-good player like Lonzo is doing beefing with anybody, but I’m glad it’s happening. Next Lakers-Nuggets game is gonna be good.
