OFFICIAL JORDAN CLARKSON PER-36 SCORING UPDATE:
Jordan Clarkson is currently scoring 24.1 points per 36 minutes. In case you need a refresher course on ultra-advanced NBA analytics, per-36 stats are the best because it helps you compare players who play hella minutes to players who don’t play as hella minutes. Clarkson is 23rd on this particular leaderboard, but he jumps up to 18th if you take out all the scrubs who’ve only appeared in one or two games (sorry Jack Cooley). Clarkson is also the best player on the list who isn’t a full-time starter.
Since somebody with as much scoring talent as Clarkson should probably be starting (the “all teams need a sixth man chucker” meme is just that – a meme), I have taken it upon myself to determine who in the Lakers’ starting lineup should be removed from it. My official conclusion:
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. He is the one who should be moved to the bench so Clarkson can start.
