For being a top-10 pick in the biggest media market in North America, Frank Ntilikina sure doesn’t get talked about much, does he? No fawning articles about his upbringing, no hit-pieces because of how much he sucks, just nothing. Come on people! He’s shooting almost as poorly as Lonzo Ball and has a single-digit PER and he can’t even get hated on?
Kristaps Porzingis dominates whatever Knicks-related news filtered out of there, mixed in with the occasional report on Enes Kanter’s antics. With the Knicks being what they are (just a team, not too good and not too bad), and with the state of the NBA being what it is (storylines everywhere you look), I guess there’s no time for Ntilikina.
Maybe tonight will change that? 13 points and 5 assists isn’t much, but it’s the most he’s provided to this point, and he did it on national TV. People might pretend that they don’t watch ESPN anymore, but they totally do, and in doing so they witnessed The Frenchise.
