Kent “Bazed God” Bazemore, has always been the kind of guy who can shoot threes, but he’s never had the reputation of being especially good at them. He’s hovered around 35% from three over his career, which is a high enough number where he is definitely allowed to shoot threes when he wants to, but it’s not a high enough number where you could say with a straight face “Kent Bazemore is a threat to torch you from deep.”
Except now, Bazemore is shooting 38% from three, and he just officially torched a team from deep for the first time by making six out of ten of them in this game. If he could just inch those numbers up a little more and get into “Korver” territory, then Hawks fans might not be so resentful of his continued presence on the team as an underwhelming third option.
