Domantas Sabonis 17 Points/3 Blocks Full Highlights (12/17/2017)

Domantas Sabonis isn’t getting the same bountiful opportunities he was getting while Myles Turner was injured. We could’ve expected the resulting minutes reduction when Turner came back, but it still sucks. Turner’s great, but Sabonis just has that NBA pedigree that makes him a more tantalizing option.

If he wants to regain some of his lost minutes, he needs to start shooting threes again. He’s shooting them sparingly this season after bombing away without remorse as a rookie. A little over a fourth of his field goal attempts that season were from deep, now, it’s down to about five percent of them. How often do you see that? Usually it’s the opposite, like what we saw with Brook Lopez. Is this a sign that the NBA is moving ever so slightly away from mindless three-point chucking and back to an interior game?

No. Maybe, but no.
