“Nothing easy. NOTHING EASY!”
Mike Scott took those immortal words by Zaza Pachulia to heart tonight, scoring a bunch of buckets, none of them easy. The one layup he made was a flailing, contorted effort made difficult by the presence of LeBron James. Other than that, it was a bunch of threes and iso midrange jumpers.
I don’t even know what’s wrong with Otto Porter, and I don’t care. In my opinion, he has been supplanted as the third option. When he comes back, if he comes back, whatever, he can fight for the scraps with Meeks and Oubre and Morris. Scott gets to take the threes that Wall so beautifully sets up. Scott gets to get the ball on the elbow, do some inconsequential moves, and take the jumper. And, hopefully, he can re-find his springs and start postering people like he used to.
