When Kristaps Porzingis is having an off night, like he was in this game, responsibility to get buckets falls to one Michael Beasley. Other players can try and do their part, but no one really wants Doug McDermott to try and do more than he already does. Or Courtney Lee. I guess Enes Kanter can also pick up some of the slack, but Beasley is the one who can really create his own shot.
It’s not usually that good of a shot, but the difficulty of an attempt doesn’t seem to have much bearing on whether it goes in or not for him. Is that a good attribute for a player to have? Yeah? Sure? I don’t know. It certainly pissed me off when Greg Monroe would miss bunnies for no reason. Let’s call it a tossup.
