Man, I’m looking at Lauri Markkanen’s games this season, and he’s consistent as frick. Only 4 single-digit scoring games over the whole season so far? While averaging 15 per game? That’s really nice for a rookie. At least, it feels like it’s really nice. Maybe that’s what everyone does and I just don’t notice it.
He has SO MANY games with 4 or 5 made shots. Coincidentally, about the number you need for 10-plus points. Is this a conscious thing for him? Like, he’s going out there every game muttering to himself “remember Lauri you need to get at least ten points or everyone in Helsinki will be disappointed”. I wouldn’t be surprised. He seems like the muttery type.
