Kyle Anderson is getting into the “grow a beard to look more manly” trend of two years ago and, surprise, it looks like trash. Maybe he thinks that if he grows enough pubey beard hair, he can have it transplanted onto that big empty spot on his forehead. Honestly, that’s the only explanation I can come up with for why he’s growing that gross-looking thing.
As they say in NBA circles, “ugly beard, ugly game”. They don’t actually say that, I just made it up now, but it totally applies to Anderson. None of his points in this game were through conventional means. It’s like he’s too slow to score in normal ways, so he has to get creative. The result is an entertaining, but somewhat unsettling, compilation of strange layups and wonky floaters. Is this what highlight videos would have looked like in the 1940s?
