Mario Hezonja has definitely shown enough this season for some team to want him before the trade deadline. Definitely. The Magic, obviously, aren’t super interested in investing any more resources into him. He’s a relic of the past, already in his third year in the league. My theory is they’re only letting him play so much so that his value to other teams goes up. And it’s working; how many teams will look at that 8-three game he had and say “Our team needs a white three-point shooter and I know just the guy”, the guy being Hezonja.
Never mind that he’s actually shooting only a bit above 30 percent from deep on the season. That’s not the important part. The important part is that he hit 8 of them in ONE game, not multiple games, not a whole month’s worth of games, but ONE game. That kind of ability, even if only shown once, has a lot of value in today’s NBA.
So it is with that said that the Bucks will totally trade Thon Maker for him. That’s it. No picks, no filler, just an even trade that makes both teams better except for the Magic because Thon sucks so bad.
