What percentage of NBA fans, do you think, would be able to name the current starting point guard for the Memphis Grizzlies? I’m talking any NBA fan. Not just the hardcore ones, not just the ones who watch DTB. All of them. Is it even five percent? Ten percent seems kinda high.
If you’re confused right now, the answer is Andrew Harrison. But you knew that.
Lots of NBA “fans” are so casual that they might not even be able to name Mike Conley, who would be everyone’s first thought. But Harrison is on a whole other level of anonymity. There was hype for him once upon a time, back in high school, but that hype pretty much died when he was in college, and now it’s totally gone. He’s not even that bad of a player. He’s a solid, big, PG, and as long as you don’t really care about him scoring, he’s fine. Sorta.
