This is one of the sickest highlight vids of the year, in my opinion. And my opinion is worth a lot, since I’ve made over a thousand of them this season. The reason? Jarrett Allen “have-it-all”ed tonight, and the Nets TV people accentuated his have-it-all-ness with plenty of replays. The Lakers bigs simply could not stop him in the pick and roll. Just couldn’t stop him at all. And he wasn’t just dunking it either; I think he had a few hooks to go with his mammoth hammers.
I wanted the Bucks to draft him so bad, and after seeing this, and after seeing Thon Maker for the whole season, I’m thinking a trade needs to be orchestrated. Every team could use a dude like Allen, because he’s always going hard. Always. He wants to dunk and block everything. That leads to some embarrassing moments, sure, but it also leads to tons of posters and emphatic rejections. As he gets stronger and more skilled (he already can shoot threes a little bit how is that fair????), he’s going to be tough to stop.
Sorry for being so optimistic, I swear this isn’t normal for me.
